Helmut Newton

Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott

Steven Klein

Controversial photographer from Rhode Island.
He has created iconic images of our time by subverting our notions of glamour, fame, and beauty.
Always exploding our expectations of contemporary photography.
I have gathered some of his most representative pictures, where you will find some common features in his job: bed, swimming-pool and horses.
Madonna, Brad Pitt and the Beckhams, are part of his muse characters.

Have a nice week.

Pirelli Calendar 1999

Hi there!
I have always loved the Pirelli calendar, it is a shame it is so difficult to get a copy (you see why I do wanna be a socialite!!).
In 1999, photogrpher Herb Ritts captured the image of the 12 main top models of that time reflecting the ambience of the different decades of the century that was coming to an end. The result was great, I love each picture of this calendar. Have a look at it.

Chandra North directly from the end of XIX century. Don’t you think she looks like Kate Moss in this picture?

Sophie Dhal for the first decade of the XXth century.

Karen Elson. It is a shame that her beautiful red head does not show in black and white pictures. Second decade and heart-shaped lips.

Michele Hicks showing the crazy twenties. She looks like a cat here.

Carolyn Murphy as a Hollywood star from the 30’s, glorious times.

Shirley Mallman as a sex symbol from the 40’s.

Laetitia Casta, a gorgeus pin up from the 50’s

Audrey Marnay and the californinan hippy mood from the 60’s.

Elsa Benítez in the 70’s with the racial spirit of freedom.

Briget Hall. Studio 54, supermodels, fierceness and attitude from the 80’s.

Angela Lindvall with the minimalism and simplicity of the 90’s.

The future before our eyes with Alek Wek.

Hope you liked this! Did you know all the models? You can see Karen, who is back on the runways of the fashion weeks, Carolyn who signed for Estee Lauder, Laetitia for L’Oreal, and some others who continue doing campaigns and other who have retired.
Have a nice week!

Terry Richardson

He is one of the most controversial photographers of our times. He explores sexuality and people through his shots. Explicit sexual pics, sometimes genious, sometimesgrotesque, you love him or you hate him.
He has declared that he likes putting sexual images in mainstram magazines, not in porn magazines, that he
likes to be subversive, to push images as far as he can and still get them run. It’s kind of a challenge to see what he can slip in.

He has worked with people of all condition, and if you visit his website you wil even find an email address to send your contact information in case you wish to pose nude for him.

You will find his pics in Sisley campaigns or in editorials for Vogue France.

What do you think of his work?

Peter Lindberg

Peter Lindbergh was born in Germany. He studied painting in an art school, but his real passion was the photography. He started working as an advertising photographer, afterwards he moved to Paris where he focused on fashion fotography.

His pics have been published in the most important fashion mags like Vogue, Vanity Fair, Marie Claire, he is closely related to Harper’s Bazaar, where we can find most of his jobs.

I love the use of the light in his portrait pictures. And it is curious that hes worked with the “naughty girls” of the moment (Paris and Nicole, Lindsay and the fake Amy)
Hope you enjoy this selection.
